Brian Keegan’s men chose the attacking option in opting to field after winning the toss.
However, Cattistock & Symene mixed all-out attack with patience to at times bemuse Bere.
Sam Good smashed 40 from 24 balls, while Ollie Nicholas compiled an obdurate unbeaten 30 from 75 balls.

His innings was at odds with captain Steve Tucker (27) and Ollie Legg (26), who both rattled along at close to a run per ball, the Foxes finishing on 179 all out after Dean Rogerson’s 3-16.
In reply, Bere struggled to fire with the bat as only Rich Cole (20) made it past the teens, Legg taking an impressive 2-8 from seven overs.
Cattistock & Symene took regular wickets to stifle the hosts, Brad Mullins (3-23) the pick as extras (34) ended up their top-scorer.
Reflecting on the loss, Bere skipper Brian Keegan said: “The last few weeks we haven’t hit the levels of performance we can.
“It’s frustrating when you get days like that. Bowling the opposition out for 179, we probably could’ve bowled them out for a lot less.
“Then, with the bat, Rich batted well and there were brief stays for a few people. Cattistock desperately wanted to win and we didn’t match that desire.”
Bere Regis Seconds lost to Winton by three wickets in County Division Three.
