Lloyd Beals’ men are level on 230 points with Corfe Mullen as joint-leaders but sit above them in the standings by virtue of a better head-to-head record.
Weymouth followed a familiar blueprint of batting first after winning the toss, amassing 236-8 from 45 overs.
