WEYMOUTH 75-1 (20pts) beat SHERBORNE II 73 (0pts) by nine wickets
WEYMOUTH pummelled Sherborne Seconds by nine wickets in a one-sided County Division Two game at Redlands.
The Seasiders, now second in the table, issued the perfect response after losing the toss and being asked to field first, reducing Sherborne to 27-5.
Emlyn Kuhn (33) provided some resistance but, once he fell to leg-spinner Fletcher Tarry (2-8), the writing was on the wall.
Adam Hoyes (4-27) finished as the pick of Weymouth’s attack, with Lloyd Beals (1-9), Michael Pearce (1-24) and Cube Whyte (1-3) also among the wickets.

Were it not for a generous 24 extras in as many overs, Sherborne’s score would have looked even more gruesome.
They had eyes on a point when Mark Hancock (1-16) bowled Connor Wills (0) second ball, but a fluent 42 not out from Kieron Womble, reinforced by Ben Lawes (17no), saw Weymouth home in 13.5 overs.
Elsewhere, Weymouth Seconds lost their unbeaten record as Wimborne Fourths won by five wickets in Division Five.
