It's safe to say we are not sailing at our best.
We had 2 races today in some very unpredictable breeze. It was 4 to 8 knot sea breeze with some big holes in the wind on the course.
We scored a 12th and 9th putting us 20th overall. Which means we have made the gold fleet cut for the finals .
We are going well upwind which is reassuring but we just need to make some improvements downwind. Also our training partners are going very well - currently leading the regatta in good shape.
So there is no question our winter training programme has been good.
We now have 6 races which if we go well will qualify us for the medal race.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for for us...
