I finally made it to St Petersberg in Florida on Friday after having a two hour delay in London to change a wheel on the plane which meant I missed my connection in Atlanta, but luckily I didn’t have to wait long for the next plane.
On the upside I actually learnt some American geography as I knew I was transferring through Atlanta but couldn’t actually tell you where in the USA it was.
I arrived about 8pm on Friday night to our hotel which I’m sharing with my mad Canadian friend Brenda and then we went out for a meal to a Mexican restaurant with Brenda’s helm in the SKUD class John and the helm of the USA SKUD Jen.
It was very nice to sit for the whole evening in a T-Shirt and be outside with a band playing Jack Johnson music.
On Saturday I was up early because of the jet lag so my aim for the day was to buy an American phone as I’m in America for seven weeks from now until the end of January.
Now we're just waiting for our boats to arrive.
