This weekend was defiantly long.
I left Portland with my boat at 5am on Friday morning to go to Reading for a team meeting and awards dinner which was a really good day and evening.
I left Reading at 11:30pm o Friday night to drive to West Kirby near Liverpool which I arrived at 7:30am on Saturday morning.
I spent Saturday match racing which I hadn’t done for over six years which was a lot of fun at a very nice sailing club.
I’m not very good at match racing but it was fun to try as it is one boat against another so it is very high intensity.
I managed to win all my races and had a really enjoyable day.
In the evening we all had a meal at the club and on Sunday we did a little bit of fleet racing which I have to say is a lot easier.
I got back to the island at 10pm last night after a six hour drive.
I think I have some sleep to catch up on but I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
