My brother Sam Pascoe and I went to YOBs at Weymouth SC to help out on their last training night of the season.
Youth on Boats (YOBs) is a great way of getting young people into sailing and is very accessible.
Youth parts of any clubs are very important because they are the future of the club and YOB’s is a real community feel with lots of local businesses supporting the projects.
Both Sam and I grew up sailing Optimists back in West Sussex and Sam taught Optimists for many summers as a teenager and it is great to be able to pass on our knowledge to the kids.
Sailing is a big sport in Weymouth and it is great the support that Weymouth SC is giving to the British team so it is great to give something back.
Next for me is the World Championships in Holland starting on the 18th September so I am just putting the final preparations to my boat for that before I leave on the 13th.
