THE Live Site on Weymouth Beach is proving popular among Olympics fanatics and tourists alike with hundreds of youngsters taking part in fun and games at the Sports Arena.
Beach football, tag rugby and table tennis are just some of the activities on offer at the venue and admission is free for all.
Active Dorset CEO Martin Kimberley said: “We have been absolutely packed and at times we have been struggling to keep up with everyone coming in.
“We have been averaging 5,000 people a day, which is double the expected capacity, but it has been fantastic and it has been great to see so many smiling faces around.
“Children and parents alike have been playing a whole range of games like tag rugby, kwik cricket, football and table tennis, and it is open for everyone to come and have a go.
“Admission is free and we are here until the closing ceremony so there is plenty of time for people to come and take a look for themselves and join in the fun.”
