WEYMOUTH have been forced to postpone this afternoon's clash with Broadstone in the Dorset Premier League.
The Seasiders had high hopes this morning that the game would go ahead but a deluge of rain at 10am has caused the wicket at Redlands to be deemed unplayable.
Weymouth skipper Dean Janaway said: "Yesterday and first thing this morning we thought there might be a chance we could get the game played but that heavy shower at around 10am has put paid to that.
"Our president John Cake and the groundsman have been up and had a look at the pitch and there are puddles all over the square and the outfield.
"That is now two weeks without a game and it means people will be going out next week having not batted for a while.
"It is far from ideal and it is extremely frustrating but everyone in the area is in the same boat and we just have to get on with it."
Weymouth Seconds' trip to Martinstown has also been cancelled as has Dorchester's match with Blandford at the Rec.
