EVENT organiser Rhose Lawes was given something to cheer on another rain-hit day for the Weymouth Town Tennis Tournament.
The recent wet conditions have caused havoc with this year’s schedule but Lawes has ploughed on regardless and is continuing to make headway in the mixed doubles alongside her experienced playing partner Clif Moreton.
In their latest outing, the dynamic duo had to move indoors to the Wey Valley Tennis Centre where they put on a stunning performance to see of Kate Meacham and Matthew Brook 6-0, 6-1.
The Finals Day at Greenhill has been rescheduled for tomorrow after the adverse weather has continued to hinder the programme.
The line-up for the day is as follows (timings subject to change): 10am: George Morrissey v Millen Hurrion (Under-16) 10.30am: Mixed Plate Midday: Men’s Singles 2pm: Men’s Doubles 3.30pm: Ladies Doubles 4.30pm: Mixed Doubles 6pm: Awards Ceremony
