BOSS Brendon King will continue to keep tabs on former loan star Byron Napper.
The midfielder has been one of several players released by League One-bound Crawley Town, including fellow ex-Terras Ben Smith and Dean Howell.
And although keen to stay in the professional game, the 20-year-old has not ruled out a return to Weymouth.
King said: “Byron has been released and I have spoken to him.
“We would love to have him but he has got to do what he thinks is best for his career.
“That involves trying to stay full-time so he will be getting his CV out to different clubs.
“There are thousands of players in his position and we will keep in touch with him and see how things go. There may be some scope down the road but we will just wait and see.
“He enjoyed his time here and it’s something he has not completely written off.”
On the subject of other potential new signings, King added: “I have got some targets in mind but everybody is after players right now so it’s a bit of a merry-go-round.”
