SPORTS Leaders from Budmouth College hosted a Multi-skills Festival for Year Two pupils.
Students from Beechcroft St Paul’s, Westfield Arts College, Portesham, Conifers and St Augustine’s Primary Schools attended the event.
Pupils from different schools worked together in small groups and rotated around a variety of activities which were led by the Year 11 students.
Budmouth’s school sports co-ordinator, Jo Ray, said: “The event was hugely successful. The primary students were given a new opportunity to try out new sports, learn and develop new skills, as well as make new friends from other schools within the Budmouth ‘family’.
“The Year 11 students are studying for their BTec Diploma in Sport, which includes a unit on ‘planning and leading sports activities’.
“This unit requires students learn to plan, deliver and evaluate safe and enjoyable physical activity sessions for young people. They certainly did that at the festival.
“At the end of the event each student received a certificate of participation before going home.”
