WESSEX Golf Centre pair Jon Bevan and Michael Watson shared top place with first-time winner Mark Searle (High Post) in the West Wilts Pro-Am.
The Weymouth duo carded six-under-par rounds of 64 to win £482 each.
It was leading money-winner Watson’s 11th win of his best-ever season in the West Region.
Former PGA play-off champion and West Region captain Watson played the last 11 holes in six-under-par.
West Region champion Jon Bevan did not drop a shot during his six-birdie sortie.
Graham Howell, the 40-year-old teaching professional at Ferndown Forest, completed his West Region season by finishing runner up at the South Wales Festival at Pyle and Kenfig, Ashburnham and Machynys Peninsular.
He then achieved eighth place in the West Wilts pro-am to take home more than £1,000 from his week’s efforts.
The 54-hole Welsh event was played in horrendous conditions and Bevan started with 80.
But he roared back with a final round 69 to finish a further shot back, winning £412. Watson shot 76, 76 and 72, and Alistair Tresidder (Sherborne) 75, 80, 69 to end up two shots further back.
James Maxwell, a trainee at Trefloyne, near Tenby in Pembrokeshire, was the shock winner.
