JAMIE Beasley will be added to the Terras’ arsenal for tonight’s huge FA Cup second qualifying round replay at Hungerford Town (7.45pm).

With £4,500 and a tie at AFC Totton up for grabs, the winger’s return from suspension is a timely boost for Weymouth boss Brendon King, who is preparing to deploy him as a secret weapon.

He told Echosport: “We have had it confirmed from the relevant authorities that Jamie is all clear to play and there is no doubt his inclusion strengthens the squad considerably.

“Obviously, he will not be at full sharpness having been out for so long, but he has been training hard and is ready to go.

“Whether he starts or we use him off the bench, we will have to wait and see but there is no doubt he is a great weapon to have at our disposal, particularly as they will know very little about him.”

Having come back from 3-2 down with 10 men at the Bob Lucas Stadium in the first meeting between the two sides last Saturday, the Terras will travel to Bulpit Lane full of confidence, looking to claim a rare third straight victory on the road – a feat they have not achieved since October 2007.

King added: “We feel like we have some unfinished business and have every reason to go there feeling positive.

“The lads are really looking forward to it and hopefully we can progress through to the next round where we would meet AFC Totton.

“Obviously, they are flying high at the top of our division and it would be a very tough game but I also know that we are capable of beating anyone at this standard on our day and it would certainly be a tie everyone would look forward to.”

Mitch Conning is unavailable for tonight’s clash while Ben Gerring is expected to line up alongside Scott Dixon at the back despite their on-field spat at the weekend.

When asked whether Gerring will retain the captain’s armband tonight, King said: “What happened between Ben and Scott is being dealt with internally.

“I have spoken to Ben about it and he regrets his actions and knows he should have waited to voice his grievances at half-time.

“These things happen in football though and at least the one thing it does show is both players’ passion and desire to win. They just need to make sure that from now on that is channelled in the right way in future.”

Meanwhile, Echosport understands the Terras have made three separate four-figure bids for Dorchester Town defender Nathan Walker.

The first two were quickly turned down but the county town outfit are believed to be be still mulling over the latest offer, which is in the region of £5,000.

The Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division outfit initially tried to entice the centre-back to the Bob Lucas Stadium in the summer but he eventually opted to sign a new one-year contract at the Magpies.
