BRENDON King has received further backing from the Terras’ board ahead of this afternoon’s potentially lucrative FA Cup tie.
The Weymouth boss has come under fire from a small section of fans over the past few weeks due to the club’s recent poor performances at home but the club’s hierarchy have once again stated that his job is not under threat.
The statement reads: “The board would like to reiterate that there is no pressure on Brendon King and his assistant Matt Groves whatsoever.
“We have all been disappointed with our recent home performances but it is important everyone remains patient because this is still a new squad of players and a new management team, and it is going to take time.
“We are out of the relegation zone in the league and today we have a big cup tie to look forward to.
“And even if we lose this afternoon it will not change anything.
“Brendon and Matt are a pleasure to work with and we are fully behind what they are trying to achieve.”
