RUSSELL Legg will undergo a late fitness test ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Street (3pm).
A hamstring injury saw the midfielder limp off during Saturday’s thrilling FA Vase encounter at Andover New Street, which finished 6-3 in the Bees’ favour, and remains doubtful for tomorrow’s return to Toolstation Western Premier Division action.
Two men who will definitely miss out though are Matt Condliffe (unavailable) and Tom Richardson (foot).
But Chris Clarke, who was substituted at half-time last Saturday, is expected to shake off an ankle knock.
Boss Trevor Senior, whose side stopped the rot of five straight defeats at the weekend, said: “Russell didn’t train on Wednesday night and we will leave it as long as we can, so he will have a late fitness test.
“Darren Watts is on stand-by and will be in the squad.
“But it doesn’t look good for Tom. He has been to see a doctor and it looks like a metatarsal injury so he will probably miss a couple of games.
“Chris should be fine, as should Sam Filkins, who injured his head playing for his university team.”
Bridport’s last league victory came on the opening day of the season – a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Corsham Town.
Recent performances have not always gained the results they deserve but Senior is hopeful of bucking the trend tomorrow.
The manager added: “I said last week that October is going to be an important month for us.
“Street are just above us at the moment but we ended September with a win so hopefully we can get a few points on the board, starting with tomorrow.”
Tomorrow’s hosts are four places and four points better off than the Bees and despite bowing out of the Vase, they are unbeaten in their last three Premier Division fixtures.
Bridport’s reward for beating Andover New Street at the weekend is a trip to Christchurch in the first round proper.
The tie will be played on Saturday, October 22, which has resulted in the league game at Longwell being rearranged for Saturday, March 10.
That means Hallen’s trip to St Mary’s Field will now take place on Saturday, January 7.
