FORMER world champions Dennis Taylor and John Parrott thrilled snooker fans at an action-packed exhibition evening at Snookes in Weymouth on Saturday.
The night, which also saw professional referee Michaela Tabb in attendance, attracted around 100 spectators and club manager Mark Cottingham was delighted with how it all panned out.
He said: “The local lads certainly enjoyed taking on the stars but unfortunately we were unable to win a frame. It was not that Dennis and John were in fantastic form, it was just that none of us really got the rub of the green.
“Darren Balsdon and I played John before two members of the audience got to play, with Gavin Tandy taking on John and Richard Kirby going up against Dennis.
“Dennis and John then played a best-of-five match, which John won 3-2 with a break of 84 in the final frame, before Dennis wrapped up the evening with a fantastic trick-shot show.
“Everyone had a great night and immediately started asking when the next one will be.
“I have already got some numbers off Michaela and I am currently in the process of trying to get one sorted out but who the star of the show will be, we will have to wait and see.”
