THE Wessex Golf Alliance annual Pro-Am event was held at Remedy Oak Golf Club, on a blustery but mainly dry September day.
The very consistent Scott Porter (The Dorset) took the professional prize with a level par 72.
Craig Gale, the assistant at Remedy, finished second, three shots behind on 75.
However, it was Gale’s side that came home first in the team event.
Amateur partners Graham Hunt (Bridport) Roger Willetts (Knighton Heath) and Pete Cawley (Yeovil) combined beautifully to card an impressive nine under par 135.
Porter’s team of Luke Mansell (Weymouth) Tony Lyall (Came Down) and Rob Janssen (Wey-mouth) were second on 138 with the team of Steve Packer (The Dorset) Graham Taylor (Knighton Heath) Martin Hastings (Came Down) and Bob Mico (Weymouth), third on 140.
The next meeting is at Sherborne Golf Club in October.
