BRENDON King wants his side to start transferring their encouraging performances on the road to the hallowed turf at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
His comments came after last night’s replay at Taunton Town where Sam Malsom’s hat-trick in a 3-1 win landed the Terras a place in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup and a prize fund of £3,000.
Weymouth will host unbeaten Evo-Stik Division One South & West leaders Hungerford Town in the next stage on October 1 but King is refusing to look too far ahead.
He said: “I am not thinking about that at the moment. All I am thinking about now is Barwell’s visit on Saturday and trying to pick up the three points.
“Our last three away performances, including the 4-1 defeat at Chesham United, have all been of a good standard but we now need to reproduce that at home.
“I am not sure if the lads feel a bit more pressure in front of our own fans or what but for some reason we have not performed well on our own pitch in the last few games but hopefully after this massive win that will now change.”
* The Terras entertain Plymouth Argyle tomorrow night (7.45pm) in a friendly in which King is hoping to take a look at a couple of trialists. The Npower League Two outfit have promised to bring their strongest available team, which is expected to include several first-teamers.
Admission will be £5 for adults, concessions and students, £3 for the unemployed and £1 for children.
