SNOOKES in Weymouth is bracing itself for another all-star night of top-class snooker with the visit of former world champions Dennis Taylor and John Parrott next Saturday night.
The charismatic duo, who both now work as pundits for BBC Sport, will take on members from the club and also lock horns against each other in a best-of-five challenge before staging one of their infamous trick-shot shows.
Professional referee Michaela Tabb will also be in attendance at the event with the doors opening at 6pm for a 7pm start with tickets priced at £25 each.
A special VIP deal is also on offer, which costs £75 per person and includes a meet and greet with the stars over a glass of champagne.
A buffet will also be available and Snookes manager Mark Cottingham is hoping for a big turnout, particularly following the success of the Steve Davis Evening back in January.
He said: “The Steve Davis night was a huge success and this promises to be just as good.
“I spoke to Dennis earlier in the week and he is really looking forward to it, and it is important people contact us as soon as possible to reserve their tickets to avoid disappointment.”
Taylor won the World Championship in 1985 when he famously defeated Davis on a last-ball black in the final frame of the match in front of a late night television audience of over 18 million, while John Parrott claimed the title in 1991, following an 18-11 triumph over Jimmy White.
