BRIDPORT skipper Mark Smith is expecting a tough examination at Martinstown in Dorset League Division Three tomorrow (2pm).
The West Dorset outfit recorded their second win of the campaign last weekend with a much-improved display against Portland Red Triangle, but tomorrow’s opponents are likely to pose an even bigger challenge, particularly on their home patch.
Smith said: “We were a lot more disciplined last week. We bowled well, batted patiently and everyone gave 110 per cent in the field, and if we continue to play like that every week we will be okay.
“There is no point doing it in one game and not the next but there is no doubt it is going to be tough against Martinstown, who are a very good side.”
Martinstown currently sit third in the table, having lost just one of their six encounters so far this season, although two of them were no results.
Smith added: “We will be without Sam Good and Duane Gay tomorrow but we have other players ready to come in so it should not be a problem and hopefully we can put on another good display.”
