DORCHESTER Town Under-18s have turned their attentions to defending the Oostrum Cup after ending their South West Counties League campaign on a high.
The teenage Magpies ended the league season with a 2-1 victory over Merthyr Tydfil at the Avenue Stadium.
And that result gives them a huge boost ahead of next month’s trip to Holland on June 10.
Last year the under-18s, who included current first-teamers Jamie Symes and Adam Taylor in their squad, became the first English side to win the international competition.
They also scooped the fair play award and are keen to repeat the success this time around.
First and foremost, the county town side are seeking additional funds to make the journey.
