RECORD-BREAKER Reuben Kingston continued his fantastic early-season form at the Droitwich Spring Tournament.
The event featured Warwick rounds of four dozen arrows, with the option of shooting two rounds on one day.
In the morning, Kingston fired a Short Junior Warwick (30/20 yards) with his favoured longbow and set a new under-12 boys’ national record, with 244 points.
In the afternoon, he changed both bowstyle and round to shoot a Junior Warwick (40/30 yards) with a barebow, this time setting a new under-14 boys’ national record, with 250 points.
Kingston has now set four national records this season and with other members of Bride Valley Archers setting another six between them, it has been a great year so far.
The club hope to continue their success in forthcoming tournaments in Salisbury, Exmouth, Devizes and Exbury.
