THE Terras are now on the search for their 16th manager in 10 years following the exit of Martyn Rogers.

The Bristolian has parted company with Weymouth by mutual consent after failing to agree a playing budget with the club’s board for the forthcoming campaign.

The 56 year-old’s departure has been on the cards ever since it was unanimously agreed at a recent fans’ forum that the club would live within its means rather than continue to accept loans from ex-chairman George Rolls.

A club statement reads: “The board has been speaking to Martyn on a frequent basis since the end of the season, to discuss season 2011/2012.

“After several discussions and meetings it has been decided to part company with Martyn by mutual consent.

“The board has listened to the fans, and will have a playing budget that Martyn feels isn’t competitive enough to compete at the right end of the Southern League.

“The board is grateful for Martyn’s time in office and especially in keeping us in the Southern Premier Division which was his aim when he joined us.

“We wish Martyn well for the future.”

Assistant-manager Brendon King has since admitted "it is too early to speculate on his future", while Mark Carter has stepped down from his role of reserve-team boss due to work commitments.
