ROD Thorne will be going for glory once again as he heads to Wiltshire on Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

The Frampton speedster will appear in his recently acquired ex-Roy Lane 3.5 Pilbeam MP58 as more than 140 of the country’s top hillclimb drivers assemble at Gurston Down near Salisbury.

Thorne will also be joined by wife Hayley as she competes in the Roadgoing Specialist Production class onboard a Westfield SEi.

On two wheels, Kevin and Sara Dewell from Portland have swapped machines, so Kevin goes on their KTM 350 while Sara runs the 480cc Husqvarna SMRR in the 500cc class.

And in the sidecar class, Jon Staden and Graham Clifford from Weymouth take on class record holders Pat and Paul Keates from Wellington.

The action gets underway on Saturday, May 28 and ends the following day for rounds seven and eight of the British Hillclimb Championship.
