THE Porters now hold the bragging rights at Dorset County Hospital after beating the Clinicians 2-1 in an annual charity match at the Avenue Stadium.
A strike from Ollie Foot and an own goal from Andrew Pulman handed a 2-1 victory to the Porters, landing them the Giles Molyneux Memorial Cup.
A minute’s applause was also held before the game in honour of Ian Dabbs, a much-loved porter who sadly passed away on March 21.
Organiser Juliette Morey said: “The attendance was not as good as we wanted but it was still a brilliant day and the fact we raised £1,465 for the digital mammography appeal was just fantastic.
“Ian Hutchinson (ex-Weymouth boss) and Ryan Moss (Dorchester Town striker) both turned out and the game itself was very entertaining.
“Everyone that took part had a great time and hopefully we will be able to do it all again next year.”
