BRIDPORT Squash Club clinched the Dorset League Division Five title thanks to a 3-2 victory over nearest pursuers Bournemouth.
Robert Muir started proceedings with a 3-0 clean sweep of Will Hook, before Steve Hodder doubled the advantage when he over-came Anne Holley by a 3-2 margin.
Mike Perry then went down to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of a formidable Gemma Barber as Bournemouth got themselves back in the contest.
But Jez Brodie defeated Mark Wadsley 3-1 in an adrenaline-fuelled tussle and although Neil Mallender suffered a 3-2 reversal by John Miles, the verdict had already been assured.
As well as being crowned Division Five champions, Bridport have also booked their place in the Winter Cup.
