CHELMSFORD 2 Higgins 81, 83 Dorchester 0
A LATE double from substitute Sam Higgins finally broke Dorchester’s resistance and left the Magpies at the bottom of Blue Square Bet South for the third week in succession.
Ashley Vickers’ men frustrated high-flying Chelmsford for the vast majority of today’s game, only to see Higgins breach the county town rearguard with just nine minutes to play.
And the same man made the points safe soon after, albeit with a helping hand from visiting gloveman Simon Evans, to maintain the Clarets’ 100 per cent home record.
To cap a disappointing day for the travelling Magpies, both Neil Martin and James Coutts limped off with hamstring and ankle problems respectively.
