THREE points at Shepton Mallet tomorrow will provide the perfect tonic to cure Bridport’s FA Cup hangover (3pm).

The Bees travel to Old Wells Road looking to bounce back from last weekend’s 6-0 drubbing at the hands of higher-league visitors Clevedon Town, while also maintaining their 100 per cent record in Toolsta-tion Western League Division One.

Trevor Senior’s men have won all four fixtures to date and the Bridport chief is keen to see the trend continue.

He said: “We have got to try and bounce back from last Saturday. We have put it behind us in training but the simple fact is that we were beaten by the better side on the day.

“Eight of our 11 players probably had their worst games of the season while Clevedon played very well.

“You do get games like that but it can also work the other way. It all evens out.

“We are one of only four teams in the league yet to be beaten, so we’ve just got to try and keep the run going.”

With Westbury and Elmore to come later this month, Senior believes the next three league outings will play an important role in the Bees’ fortunes this season.

He added: “The next three league games are important if we are to be serious challengers this year as they’re all against sides at the wrong end of the table. We’ve got to try and get seven points if we can.

“Shepton have only won one of their first six games but by all accounts they have imp-roved this year, so I’m expecting a hard test.

“It’s more about what we do though. If we can get back to playing how I know we can then we should be okay.”

Russell Legg is suspended for tomorrow’s trip but there is good news regarding the fitness of striker Matt Moors, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury.

Senior added: “Matt is looking to train on Tuesday, so hopefully it won’t be too long until he’s playing again.”
