AROUND 50 youngsters were given a rugby masterclass by coaches from the Southern Hemisphere.

And the Dorchester RFC-run summer camp was hailed a huge success by youth chairman Les Fry.

He said: “It was a really successful camp that was well received by all the boys and their parents.

“The boys always go home worn out and thrilled with the new skills that they have learned.”

Fry also extended praise to the international coaches, adding: “You’re getting coaches at the club who you would never normally have access to so it’s great to have them here and it’s a wonderful opportunity for the youngsters.

“They get taught a range of new skills and are given confidence in their own ability.

“The new season starts in a couple of weeks and hopefully we’ll see the youngsters using the new skills they have learned.”
