FORMER Dorchester Town Under-18s product Adam Taylor will make his debut for Weymouth Reserves tomorrow.

The energetic midfielder, who made a handful of first-team appearances for the Magpies’ first-team during his time at the Avenue Stadium, had initially signed for Bridport this summer but Brendon King has managed to entice him down to the Terras.

The Weymouth second-string boss said: “We are currently in the process of completing Adam’s transfer and we are looking forward to seeing him in action tomorrow.

“He is has a fantastic engine and definitely has something about him. He is also only 18, so he falls into the right age bracket we are looking for.”

King will be unable to confirm his squad until the 11th hour due to the first-team’s requirements but one player he will definitely be without for the Magna Dorset Premier League trip to Bridport Reserves (3pm) is Dan Welch, who is unavailable for the next three games.

King added: “Losing Dan is a big blow but we will go down to Bridport and try and do the right things as we did at Portland United on Tuesday. As I have said before, it is not about the result, it is about nurturing these lads and making them better players.”

Meanwhile, Bees’ joint-boss Steve Crabb admits he “could not have asked for more” from his team following victories over Poole Borough and Chickerell United.

However, he is expecting an even tougher test from the Terras. He said: “Weymouth will be a strong side. They got a good result against Portland United on Tuesday and this will probably be our hardest game of the season so far.

“As always we will give it our best and look to play the way we like to, pressing the ball and working hard.

“I couldn’t have asked for more at this time and to have kept two clean sheets is very pleasing. It shows we must be doing something right, particularly with Trevor Senior planning to take two of our players with the first team.”

Carl Bulman returns to the squad from suspension and Sam Day is also in line to feature. Roger Cummings and Chris Symes are both unavailable.
