BOSS Trevor Senior has intimated he will employ a different formation for Bridport’s visit to Roman Glass St George tomorrow (3pm).

Senior has kept faith with a flexible 3-5-2 system so far this season and it has paid handsome dividends, as the Bees have yet to lose a match of any description since April.

However, the unavailability of both Matt Moors and Chris Clarke has left the Bridport manager with Ryan Dovell as his sole recognised frontman.

Senior is considering several alternatives – including recalling Darren Watts and Shane Evans – but he is expected to favour bolstering the midfield in order to neutralise the attacking prowess of Roman Glass.

Although ostensibly this would leave Dovell as a lone striker, the likes of Jamie Symes, Dan Wise and Russell Legg all possess the firepower to score goals from midfield.

Senior said: “We won at their place last year but it was a battle on a poor pitch and the result could have gone either way.

“I imagine this game will be similar, and with Matt Moors and Chris Clarke not available, I am thinking about changing the system slightly.

“Darren Watts will probably come back into the line-up and there are other options, including starting with Shane Evans, who can play in a number of positions. Personally, I see him as a wing-back but Shane wants to be considered as a striker.

“From my point of view, having so many options is a great situation to be in, but I’m trying to be consistent in my decision-making.”

On Roman Glass, Senior said: “They seem to be stronger this season and have had some interesting results, but all games will be difficult.”

Senior maintained a watching brief during the reserves’ match against Chickerell United on Tuesday night, with a view to elevating two players for tomorrow’s Toolstation Western League Division One tussle.

Meanwhile, the injury sustained by Moors in the defeat of Welton Rovers is not feared to be anything like as serious as those that sidelined him for much of last season.

And his period of unavailability should enable him to recuperate sufficiently and be back to full fitness by the time the Bees take on Clevedon Town in the preliminary round of the FA Cup next Saturday.
