A TRIO of Chickerell United players will miss tomorrow’s encounter against Parley Sports at Weymouth College (3pm).

Antony Carlile, Jack Rob-inson and Rob Maxted are all unavailable for the Magna Dorset Premier League clash but Liam Weeks is expected to return following two weeks out with an ankle injury.

Stand-in boss Terry Oldrid, who is deputising in the absence of Chris Wilson, said: “It’s a big blow having those three players missing but we just have to get on with it.

“Liam is in line to return and it might be another case where I have to play myself again. Mickey Coombs will also be invol-ved and from what we have been told about Parley we are expecting another tough game.

“By all accounts they scrap for everything and are tough physically so we are going to need another solid and disciplined performance.”

The Chickens won their first game of the season 2-1 against Blandford United but then suffered a single-goal defeat at Bridport Reserves on Tuesday. Oldrid added: “It was disappointing that we didn’t get something at Bridport but the spirit in the team is fantastic, and considering we’ve had to build a whole new side this summer, it’s beginning to gel quicker than we anticipated.”

Parley only have one point to their name so far following a 1-0 defeat at Wincan-ton Town and a goalless draw against Poole.
