BRIDPORT have their sights set on adding another victim to their collection of giant-killings when they entertain Welton Rov-ers tomorrow (3pm).

League action takes a back seat as the Bees switch their attentions to the FA Cup, which last season saw them bow out in the first qualifying round having previously beaten Dawlish Town.

Trevor Senior’s troops could not be on a bigger high and Wednesday night’s 2-1 defeat of Elmore was the ideal way to warm-up for the visit of higher-league Welton.

Previewing tomorrow’s extra preliminary round tie, boss Senior said: “We have been given a hard draw in that we are playing a team from one league above us.

“Like us, Welton got to the semi-finals of the Les Phillips Cup last season. In the past we have done well against teams who were supposed to be better than us, but we will treat Welton with respect.

“A good run in the FA Cup is exciting for the fans and is a good distraction. There is also money to be won for the club and that is important.

“Last year we didn’t have a league win at this stage and the FA Cup was something different to focus on, whereas this season we have notched up two victories already.”

Senior could field an unchanged line-up for the third straight match, al-though Dan Wise is pushing for a starting berth while Matt Moors and Shane Evans have both looked sharp.

He added: “Selection is the main thing occupying my mind. I had five minutes to enjoy the Elmore win and then I started to think about the FA Cup.

“There are players wanting to come and get a chance. The three that were on the bench against Elmore are all capable of changing a game and to some extent that’s what they did.”
