AROUND 90 youngsters have taken part in a series of soccer schools in Dorchester, conducted by former Reading striker Trevor Senior.
Two sessions have already been held at Manor Park School and will be followed by another couple at Damers First School on August 16-20 and August 23-27.
While the emphasis has been on providing the children with a fun time during the summer holidays, they have also undertaken skills work and training, as well as playing in matches.
Current Bridport boss Senior said: “There have been about 90 kids taking part so far and it’s proved popular. They all seem to be enjoying it, which is the main aim.
“We’ve had some as young as five involved. I always make sure the emphasis is on having fun as well as hopefully learning a few things.”
For more information about the forthcoming soccer schools at Damers, which commence at 9.30am and conclude at 1pm, contact Senior on 251300.
Everyone who attends will receive a free football, and prizes will be awarded at the end of each week.
