THE colourful and charismatic superstars of the wrestling ring are set to descend on Weymouth for a summer season of family entertainment.

Despite an illustrious history, the sport has ceased in the Weymouth area during the past two years but now it is being revived with an action-packed extravaganza.

The family-friendly spectacular takes place on Thursday, July 29 and Thursday, August 19 at the Ocean Room at Weymouth Pavilion. Doors open at 7pm with the first bell ringing at 7.30pm.

As the new promoters of wrestling in the area, LDN promises to give more thrills and spills than ever seen before.

Promoter Sanjay Bagga said: “It’s great to bring a tradition back on a regular basis.

“Come July 29 we will have a ceremony at 7.25pm to mark the special moment as a tradition returns to the area.”

Stars such as former two-time British heavyweight champion ‘Gentleman’ Jon Ritchie, Alan Lee Travis, Big Ben, Richard Parliament and Hakan will be in attendance.

Spectators will be given the chance to get up close and personal with the rip-roaring action, before meeting the stars afterwards.

Tickets are priced at £12 for general admission, £10 for concessions and £35 for families. Telephone 783225 or purchase them from the Pavilion. For more information on the event, log on to ldnwrestling.com
