BUDMOUTH pupil Katie Wall continued her rich vein of form with victory at the Weymouth Junior Open.
The Weymouth Golf Club member recorded a nett score of 67 to finish top in the junior girls’ section and collect the Dorothy Robinson Trophy.
The 12-year-old’s success is the icing on the cake after a host of recent impressive displays, including winning the July Junior Monthly Medal, taking third spot among the girls at the Yeovil Junior Open and finishing fourth at the Parkstone Junior Open.
As a member of Weymouth Golf Club, Wall receives a great deal of support from Des Lochrie and Luke Bartlett who put an enormous amount of time and effort into nurturing the club’s junior golfers.
Wall, still in her first full season of competiton, also paid tribute to the team at the Wessex Golf Centre – where it all started for her nearly two years ago – as they continue to provide support and encouragement.
