KATH Desmond and Martin Puckett were the top performers during the indoor season at Moonfleet 2000.
Both bowlers were crowned Singles and Pairs champions, with Desmond also picking up the Mixed Pairs title and Puckett claiming the Generation Pairs and the Under-25 crown.
Desmond won the Ladies’ Pairs alongside Vet Singles champion June Searle while Barry Patterson partnered her to the Mixed Pairs title.
Patterson also finished as a runner-up in the Generation Pairs with Eddie Smith, as Puckett and Madge Churches claimed the victory.
In the Men’s Pairs, the impressive Mike Gale joined Puckett in a memorable triumph, while Mike Goodard took the Men’s Vet Singles by beating Phil Goater.
Trixie Dempsey, June Evans and Rita Payne claimed the Ladies’ Drawn Triples with Geoff Whitehead, Mike Pearson and Ron McCarthy doing likewise in the Men’s Triples.
In the other senior competition, there was success for Alan Churches and Colin Poulter in the Two-Wood Drawn Pairs where they overcame Sue Paull and Nick Gandy.
