WEYMOUTH Ladies are sure to be fighting fit after agreeing a sponsorship package with local company Outrageously Active.
The company, run by personal trainer Boris Stone, will officially begin its deal with the Terras in July when the girls report back for pre-season training and undertake a military style boot camp aimed at improving their teamwork skills and physical fitness.
The Under-16s will also benefit from the training and Weymouth Ladies’ boss Tim Davis is overjoyed with the link-up.
He said: “The team have had a tremendous season and the players have been magnificent but I am keen to try and take us to the next level and we need to get more professional in a number of areas.
“Fitness is a key element and I am delighted to welcome Outrageously Active with Boris on board to take care of that side of the team.
“Players will also be getting assistance with injury rehabilitation which is vitally important. During pre-season Boris wants to run a boot camp for the girls that will be hard physically but also assist with team building, which is of great benefit.
“I am also keen to integrate some of the up-and-coming young players from this season’s under-16s into the squad and those chosen will also participate in this.
“Boris has been unofficially working with the team for the past five weeks and the results are there for all to see as we have looked a far fitter team during that period.
“I have listened to the views of the current players and they are all happy for Boris to become an integral part of our promotion bid next season.”
