THE Chickerell United tournament, held at Budmouth Technology College, was a resounding success.
This popular feast of football featured teams from Weymouth, Bridport, Corfe Mullen, Dorchester Town, Portland United and Cardiff.
One of the organisers, Fiona Pawsey said: “The teams all took part with great spirit and enjoyed the fun of the two days.
“The good camaraderie we have come to expect shone through from all the players and parents who attended.
“I had comments from people involved saying how good the two-day event was and general comments as to how much people enjoyed the tournament and the fact that it had run very smoothly.
“It was a new committee who dealt with the tournament this year and we are pleased it went well and thank the “old hands” who very kindly came and helped us this year. “We all look forward to next year.”
