EASTON boss Chris Wilson has insisted that a decision on the club’s future will be made next week.
The Portlanders take on Tintinhull tomorrow (3pm) in what could prove to be their last-ever game at the Grove but there is hope that a rescue package can still be put into place.
Wilson said: “I have set up a meeting with Mark Long, who runs Sunday League side the Punchbowl, for next week.
“He is interested in helping out and keeping the club going but I am not sure where we will stand in regards to our league status as they are clamping down on things like ground facilities next season so we will just have to wait and see. A decision will be made after that meeting.”
Tintinhull hammered Easton 5-2 earlier in the season but having ended a three-match losing steak with a superb 4-3 victory at Wareham Rangers last week, Wilson is confident his men can gain a bit of revenge and finish their Dorset Senior League campaign on a high.
He added: “Aaron Williams will miss out due to a broken toe and Stuart Burley has a thigh strain but apart from those two we should have the same squad as last week.
“When we went to their place they completely turned us over and rightly so, as we did not play very well, so tomorrow we will be looking to put that right.
“Come what may after next week’s meeting it is important tomorrow that we just concentrate on the game and enjoy it, whether it turns out to be our last together or not.”
