DEFENDER Graham Biles is a major doubt for Chickerell United ahead of tonight’s clash at Westland Sports in the Dorset Premier League.
The experienced centre-back was hoping to return to the side this evening after missing Saturday’s 1-0 vic-tory over Swanage Town & Herston but he is still nursing an ankle problem that could stop him from making the trip.
With Andy Hall still out due to work commitments and Nick Etherington, Tommy Hastie and Andy Graham all sidelined with long-term injuries the Chickens will again have to show their strength in depth if they are to stretch their unbeaten run to 15 games.
United boss Maurice Welch said: “We are just going to have to wait and see with Graham. He is still struggling a bit with his ankle and with Andy Hall, Andy Graham, Tommy and Nick all still unavailable it means we are still a little way off our strongest team.
“However, the lads keep coming up with the goods and hopefully that will continue tonight against a very good footballing side that we shared a 0-0 draw with earlier in the season.”
Ben Coltart, Craig Roper, Gavin Daniels and Dean Charles have all retained their places in the Chickens’ squad following good performances against the Swans.
Victory for the villagers will see them go level on points with Sports who sit one place above them in fifth spot.
