BOSS Ian Hutchinson has warned his players that nobody is exempt from the end-of-season chop.

Hutchinson’s plainspoken comments came ahead of Bridport’s penultimate fixture against Roman Glass St George at St Mary’s Field tomorrow (3pm).

Defeat to Westbury United last week extended the Bees’ winless streak to four matches and dropped them to 13th in Toolstation Western League Division One.

And Hutchinson believes individual performances in the final two matches could play a big factor in determining who is shown the exit door.

He said: “Some of the players have been able to turn up expecting to play but next season that won’t be the case.

“They all want to stay but they’ve got to work hard in the next couple of games to keep the shirt.

“I’ve learnt a lot about the players in the past six weeks and know what needs to be put right this summer.”

He added: “To finish above Portishead by winning these two games is a great incentive.”

Such has been their decline that Bridport require maximum points and other favourable results to stand any chance of cementing a top-10 berth – a feat that only a month ago seemed probable.

But their recent trials and tribulations have been mirrored by free-falling Roman Glass, who are 11 matches without a victory.

Hutchinson confirmed Chris Clarke and Chris Senior are both ruled out by injury and revealed Darren Lock has been hampered by a thigh problem.

Skipper Lock will continue to play through the pain barrier while Harry Fleet will start in midfield after impressing last week.

Keen to see a bumper crowd flock through the turnstiles, Hutchinson added: “I’d like to thank the supporters for cheering us on this season and hopefully we’ll get a win to repay them. It would be great if there’s a big attendance to see us in our last home match.”
