WEYMOUTH Football Club and Warmwell Holiday Park have joined forces to provide football coaching to both residents and children in the area.

The partnership held its first programme of events during the Easter holidays when Weymouth FC football in the community officer Tim Davis provided his coaching expertise in a venture that will become an established feature of the park’s ongoing interaction with the local community.

Warmwell Holiday Park’s sports and leisure manager Richard Smith said: “The coaching programme has proven to be a huge success and the next enhancement of the partnership will take place over the coming busier breaks.

“We would definitely encourage any youngsters between four and 14 years to come and book with us if they want to become involved in the sessions.

“Here at Warmwell, developing good links with the local community is an integral part of our business and once the partnership is fully established in the coming months I am sure even more people will be associating Warmwell and Weymouth FC at the core of football professionalism and fun.”

Davis added: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Warmwell to deliver these coaching sessions and I have thoroughly enjoyed the ones I have done so far, and the attitude of the children that have taken part has been superb.

“We are looking to expand our football in the community programme and working together with Warmwell is an integral part of that.”

Bookings can be made at the Warmwell sports and leisure desk for the coming weeks at a cost of £3 per hour of coaching, which will also include a half price swimming voucher for the afternoon in the indoor pool and wave machine area.
