MATT Fry scooped three awards at Dorchester Athletics Club’s AGM and awards night.
The talented athlete won the Andy Caddy Award for sprints, the Steve Martin Trophy for hurdles and the Founders Cup for the overall boys champion alongside Alistair Tuck.
Tuck also took home the Reeves Shield to match the double success of club-mates Megan Tuck, Freddie Cook, Hettie Burn, Beth Letherby, Ellie Burn and Hannah Jeanes.
Other award winners were Steven Rowe, Kirsty Wickham, Anna James, Nick Ireland, James Faulkner, Noah Criswick, Rachel Dumbrell, Megan Edwards, Martha Baker, Ellen Norman and Alison Dumbrell.
Highlights of a successful year include the county town club’s achievements in the South West Athletics League where a second-placed finish saw Dorchester earn promotion to the top flight.
In the individual age groups the Under-13 girls and senior women were crowned divisional league champions.
The next success to report was the National Young Athletics League with joint teams from Poole AC, Wimborne AC and Dorchester AC, known as Team Dorset, winning every single match to clinch promotion to the Southern Premier League.
At the Dorset County AA Championships the club reeled in 26 medals, nine of which gold.
Gold medallists were Alistair Tuck, Jeanes, Letherby, Megan Tuck, Hayley Rooks, Wickham and Ellie Burn.
Meanwhile, at the South West Inter-Counties, Jeanes and Megan Tuck won two silvers with Shanon Fry picking up one herself.
In sportshall competition, the unstoppable Under-13 girls were named league champions for the fifth year in a row.
The Under-15 girls were also crowned league champions with the Under-15 boys finishing second.
Hettie Burn (Under-15) was named sportshall grand prix champion with Caroline Goode becoming Dorset County Sportshall champion. At the county championships, Dorchester AC won 54 medals, 19 of them gold.
And there was more success in cross-country with another league crown for the Under-13 girls, who also won three individual golds and a bronze.
Letherby was named county champion while five county town athletes represented Dorset at national level and two at the English schools event.
