PIERRE Joseph-Dubois could be in line for a long awaited return to action tomorrow if he comes through today’s training session unscathed.

The pacey striker sustained a broken metatarsal during the 2-0 win at Kidderminster Harriers back in January, ruling him out for at least three months.

But new boss Bobby Gould, whose side host Ebbsfleet United tomorrow (3pm), will assess the Frenchman’s fitness this morning and decide whether or not to include him in the match-day squad.

Weymouth are also set to welcome back player-coach Marcus Browning following a one-match ban while Fola Onibuje is expected to shake off a groin problem.

Gould said: “Marcus will be back in the squad and Joseph-Dubois we will look at in training today and see if there is any reaction, if not it could be a big plus as he’s got a lot of pace.”

The Terras occupy one of four relegation spots in the Blue Square Premier by virtue of their much inferior goal difference.

After seeing his new players break their goal drought and earn a point against Forest Green Rovers on Easter Monday, Gould is hopeful of going a step further when the Fleet visit the Wessex Stadium.

He added: “You could see the relief showed by everyone when we scored. Getting that goal is one thing we’ve put behind us, as is the draw, now we want to put more behind us and head in the right direction.

“Everybody’s got something to prove, which is a plus, and I believe that from adversity comes success.”

Asked about tomorrow’s opponents, the former Wales chief said: “I’m the type of manager who worries about his own team more and how I want them to play.

“I could go and watch the opposition prior to the game but when they play us they could go and make four or five changes. So I like to conserve my energy for my own team.”
