PORTLAND United boss Stuart Heath is expecting to come up against a more adventurous Bland-ford United side at Blandford Rec tomorrow (3pm).

The Royals arrived at Grove Corner last month with visions of damage limitation, looking to frustrate the table-topping Blues at every opportunity.

The islanders though managed to earn a 2-0 victory in their quest to retain the Dorset Premier League crown but Heath believes that on home soil, Blandford will look to attack a great deal more.

He said: “They came with a game plan to frustrate us last time and it worked to an extent but this will be a different game. We’ve seen them at their place recently and they’re one of those teams who play differently at home so we’re expecting a tougher game.

“When we go away especially, teams raise their game against us but our players are used to that and prepared for it.

“We’re just making sure we approach these last few games with the right attitude, because it’s all about getting results now.

“We’ll then just wait and see what rewards we get at the end of it. The players have turned their season around from November onwards and have a great chance to be successful, and they’re very keen to do so.”

Heath will be without Ricky Lane and John Lamb due to unavailability while striker Adam Linaker is set for a late fitness on his knee.

Paul Lambert, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, could be in line for a return.

Portland lie five points clear at the summit with five games of the season remaining.
