RYAN Hayter will return to the fray for Bridport tomorrow when they travel to Wells City in Toolstation Western League Division One (3pm).
The tough-tackling defender missed Tuesday night’s 4-1 win over Clevedon United but is likely to go straight back into the starting line-up after Tom Coggins declared himself unavailable.
The Bees will no doubt be buzzing following that midweek success but Wells will be no pushovers as Ian Hutchinson’s men found to their cost at St Mary’s Field back in November when the Somerset side belied their lowly position and ran out 2-0 winners.
Since then City have continued to show improvement and currently sit just one point and one place below Bridport in 11th spot.
Hutchinson said: “It was great to finally get among the goals on Tuesday. I have kept faith with the lads and always believed it would come but the test now is to continue that on.
“In the second half against Clevedon we could have had 10 and we need to now take that performance into Saturday.
“Wells beat us 2-0 earlier in the season so there is a chance for us to gain a bit or revenge and it is important that we try and keep winning because we want to finish as high up the table as we possibly can.
“Ryan Hayter and Harry Fleet come back into the squad but unfortunately Tom Coggins is unavailable which is a bit of a blow because he has been playing well of late.”
Bees (from): Cuff, Bulman, Herbst, C Clarke, Lock, Hayter, Senior, Evans, Condliffe, Wise, A Clarke, Hutchinson, Mason.
* Bridport Reserves entertain fellow strugglers Blandford United at St Mary’s Field in the Dorset Premier League (3pm).
