BRIDPORT will look to complete the double over Clevedon United at St Mary’s Field tonight (7.45pm).

The Bees snatched the points in the corresponding fixture at the Hand Stadium back in February with a late goal from Dan Wise and player-manager Ian Hutchinson is hoping for a similar outcome this time around, as well as an improved performance following Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Shepton Mallet.

The former Weymouth midfielder, who has targeted a top-half finish in Toolstation Western League Division One, said: “If we are to finish in the top half it is games like this one tonight that have to be won.

“The lads have been working extremely hard in recent weeks and I am sure that effort will turn the tide soon and the goals that our performances have been lacking will start to come.”

Hutchinson, whose men sit 13th in the table, just three points adrift of the top ten, will be forced to make one change this evening due to the unavailability of touch-tackling central defender Ryan Hayter.

The Bees boss added: “We will probably make a few slight adjustments for tonight. With Ryan out, it puts Chris Herbst in contention and it maybe that we will move Chris Clarke into central defence. Harry Fleet will again be in the squad while myself and my assistant Andy Mason may also be on the bench.”
