DEFENDER Kyle Critchell has made a surprise return to the Wessex Stadium.
The 22-year-old, who played for the club during the 2007-08 season before moving on to Wrexham last summer, has been drafted in on a month’s loan and will join striker Fola Onibuje and midfielder Ben Gill in the Terras’ squad for this afternoon’s home clash against Kettering (3pm). Weymouth boss Alan Lewer, whose patched-up side are on a run of seven successive defeats, said: “Kyle coming in on loan will bolster the defence and with Fola and Ben in the squad as well we should be a little stronger.
“Dominic Merella, the other lad who has been training with us, is currently with Burscough so we have got to wait until next week before sorting things out with him but he will sign and is staying down here.
“Meanwhile, I have sent Kwesi Appiah back to Peterborough.”
When asked for further team news, Lewer added: “Cameron Mawer should play, and we should have Marcus Browning back at some point but he is not quite ready just yet.
“James Coutts and Callum Hart are both doubtful while Jordan Collins is definitely out, and of course Stephen Reed is still suspended.”
